William Beaudine (January 15, 1892 – March 18, 1970) was an
American film actor and director. He was one of Hollywood's most prolific
directors, turning out films in remarkable numbers and in a wide variety of
genres.
In 1915 he was hired as an actor and director by the Kalem
Company. He was an assistant to director D.W. Griffith on The Birth of a Nation
and Intolerance. By the time he was 23 Beaudine had directed his first picture,
a short called Almost a King (1915). He

When the local Banker jumps the Blaine's claim, they have men rob the bank to retrieve their money. When the men try to double-cross the Blains, a gunfight erupts and Jim Blaine gets away with the money. Mountie Bob McDonald gets Jim Blaine to return the money. Bob thinks the Banker was really behind the robbery and now uses the money to try and lure him into a trap.

Boys Will Be Boys (1935)
Alec Smart, who is engaged teaching in a prison, applies for the job of headmaster at a nearby public school to replace the previous headmaster who has been convicted of writing forged cheques and has just been sent to prison. Smart appeals to the Governor to write him a good reference which he pretends to. Afterwards he writes his real recommendation which is very negative about Smart's talents. The trustee who works as the Governor's secretary, Faker Brown, "accidentally" gets the two letters

Fugitives (1929)
Nightclub singer Alice Carroll is found in the office of club owner Al Barrow, who is lying dead on the floor. Alice has been overheard threatening to kill Barrow rather than give in to his advances. She protests her innocence, but the District Attorney doesn't believe her and charges her with Barrow's murder. However, things aren't quite as cut-and-dried as the D.A. believes them to be.
