Vetrimaaran (Tamil: வெற்றிமாறன்) is a Tamil film director, working primarily in the Tamil film industry based in Tamil Nadu. He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Polladhavan (2007). His second feature film Aadukalam (2011) won five National Film Awards, with Vetrimaaran receiving two awards for Best Direction and Best Screenplay.

Pettaikaaran is famous in his town for an impeccable track record of successes in rooster fights. When one of his aides, Karuppu, goes against his word in a fight, it leads to an enmity between them.
