Ganesha arranges his sister Gowri's marriage but faces humiliation by her in-laws. His misunderstanding with his childhood friend and neighbour, Raja, makes matters worse.

Manu and Pavithra, without having met, become fond of each other by exchanging notes in a bus travelling to each other's city. Later, Pavithra is married off to a rich man, who happens to be Manu.

The film deals with how the middle-class families are getting cheated in the hands of gullible people.

Naai Sekar abducts dogs in order to extract huge ransom from their owners. However, chaos ensues when he kidnaps a dog that belongs to Dass, a notorious kidnapper.
