From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Shima Shinoda, better known as Shima Iwashita (born January 3, 1941, in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese actress. She is married to film director Shinoda Masahiro. She won the award for best actress at the 2nd Hochi Film Award for Ballad of Orin. Kuchiku Kuchiku (1964)

Yutaro Kida, a worker at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal, volunteers for the navy but finds himself a cook's mate in the galley of a gunboat. But his dream is eventually realized when he is transferred to the new and powerful destroyer Yukikaze which he helped to build.
