Jaroslav Marvan Poster

Jaroslav Marvan was a Czechoslovakian actor. He was born in Prague and married in the 1920s to Marie Marvanov.  He was a member of numerous Czech theatres of note throughout the early 20th century, including the Vlasta Burian's theatre, Vinohradské Divadlo (1943-1950), Mestská Divadla Pražská (1950-1954), and finally Národní Divadlo (national theatre), where he served for until two years before his death, in 1972.

Station Master (1941)

Vlasta Burian jako cerný pasažér rozvrátí disciplinovaný chod jednoho nádraží. Pan Topka pusobí dojmem gentlemana trochu chaplinovského typu. Živí se príležitostnou prací, za níž jezdí výhradne jako cerný pasažér vlakem. Pri jedné jízde se setká s obávaným generálním inspektorem drah Kokrhelem. Sharp Shooter (1932)

Anton Špelec (Vlasta Burin) is a producer of musical instruments by trade but a sharp-shooter at heart. He expects to be awarded a medal at a large parade in town where veteran sharp-shooters will be honored.
