Abena  Ayivor was born in Kitwe in Zambia to a Ghanaian dad and a Zambian/South African mother in 1975. She left Zambia with her family to settle in South Africa at a very young age , the period within which her appreciation for the arts began. Abena enrolled at University of Cape Town to study law but dropped out to follow her – passion – drama, at City Varsity School Of Film and Multimedia.
