Engagée dès le 1er septembre 1956, elle a effectué ses débuts officiels, le samedi 16 janvier 1960, dans le rôle de Marthe Bourdier dans Le Roi de Flers, Caillavet et Arène. Elle est sociétaire honorairede la Comédie-Française et a également tourné pour le cinéma. En 1990, elle fut administrateur par intérim de la Comédie-Française pendant deux mois en tant que Doyen des sociétaires.
