Chinna Thambi Periya Thambi (1987)
Prabhu and Sathyaraj are brothers who fall in love with their uncle's daughter Nadia. Nadiya is initially arranged to marry a wealthy man but due to dire circumstances the wedding is called off.She then goes back to the village and starts to live with her uncles and grandmother.Eventually she falls in love with Prabhu,meanwhile, Sathyaraj happens to rescue a widow Sudha Chandran from dire straits, and falls for her.The story ends with both the brothers happily married.

A Carnatic singer J. K. Balaganapathi at the peak of his career loses his credibility as he gets addicted to alcohol due to the loss of an intimate companion Sindhamani aka Sindhu. Bhairavi (JKB's wife) tries to help him get rid of the addiction and fails. As a last resort she requests Sindhu's help and succeeds. The status of relationship between the three after his makeover is the climax
