Mohan Rao (born 10th of May) is a popular Kollywood actor. He hails from Udupi district of Karnataka. He is also known as Kokila Mohan after his debut as an adult-actor in a film called Kokila, which starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role. He considers Balu Mahendra as his mentor.[3] He has acted inKannada films, Telugu films and Malayalam films, but his main contribution was to Tamil cinema where he has acted in 83 films.
