Jon Freda was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in an Italian-American family. He served as a naval officer and attended academic doctoral programs in New York and Canada. As an actor, Jon's performances range from the comedy hit TV/web series, 50 To Death, to his critically noticed dramatic portrayal of Rocco in the film, The Family. He received the Outstanding Actor Award for The Cannes Film Festival entrant, Sisyphus' Supper, and published accolades for his portrayal of Jimmy Duran
