Yumeji Tsukioka Poster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Yumeji Tsukioka (?? ??, Tsukioka Yumeji, 14 October 1922 – 3 May 2017) was a Japanese film actress. She has appeared in over 150 films between 1940 and 1994. She starred in the film The Temptress and the Monk, which was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival. Her husband was the director Umetsugu Inoue. Noriko is perfectly happy living at home with her widowed father, Shukichi, and has no plans to marry -- that is, until her aunt Masa convinces Shukichi that unless he marries off his 27-year-old daughter soon, she will likely remain alone for the rest of her life. When Noriko resists Masa's matchmaking, Shukichi is forced to deceive his daughter and sacrifice his own happiness to do what he believes is right.
