?1970 yilinda Ankara Devlet Konservatuari'ndan mezun oldu. Tiyatro sahnelerine IV. Murat oyunu ile giris yapti. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuari'nda "Sahne ve Diksiyon" dersleri veren Tekindor, daha sonra ayni görevini 1998 yilina dek Bilkent Üniversitesi Tiyatro Bölümü'nde sürdürdü. Onun daha büyük kitlelerce taninmasi, TRT televizyonunda 1976-1977 yillarinda yayinlanan 'Mc Millan ve Karisi' dizisindeki, Rock Hudson'in oynadigi Emniyet Müdürü Stewart McMillan karakterini seslendirmes
