?Kveta Fialová se narodila na Slovensku, v obci Vel'ké Dravce v okrese Lucenec. Její maminka byla výtvarnice, vedle malby se venovala i socharení. Na Slovensku žila rodina do roku 1938, kdy je slovenští nacionalisté prinutili odejít do Cech. Z konce 2. svetové války si dospívající Kveta odnesla nanejvýš traumatizující zážitek, když ji spolu s matkou brutálne znásilnili sovetští vojáci.
